Our Philosophy

Following the end of the bipolar confrontation and experiencing the speed by which the internet and now AI is changing business, politics and societies, the 21st century was expected to be an era of global peace, of ever increasing cooperation in economic, trade, cultural and also in political relations, with a global interconnectivity that the world has never seen.

Yet today, two decades into the 21st century, we live in an era of global turmoil in which major institutions of international cooperation are being challenged, long-held economic and political relations and even alliances reconsidered, the very fundamentals of the post World War Two global order are being questioned by its member states and by some of its key designers.

19th century concepts of power and of the nation-state and 20th century concepts of geopolitical considerations have started to dominate strategic discussions and decision-making, dangerously leading towards tension and conflict in the international arena.

Strategic challengers like Russia have not only engaged in an unprovoked and all-out war against their neighbor Ukraine, but also threaten the security and stability of Europe, working on loosening and ultimately cutting the ties between the two sides of the Atlantic, Europe and the US.

Other challengers like China have been consistently maneuvering in the international system in a most strategic way towards creating a Sino-centric global reorganization.

There has been no time since the end of World War Two that values as democracy, freedom, national sovereignty, and cooperation based on these would have been more important.

This is our mission:

To contribute to rethinking and re-designing Euro-Atlantic cooperation in the era of global turmoil. To strengthen Central Europe's strategic role and regional cooperation in support of this. And to support the emergence on values-basis of a new generation of leaders in Central & Eastern Europe.

To promote our mission, our goal is to engage thought-leaders and exchange thoughts, analyses, and strategies.

To accomplish this, we organize high-level briefings, roundtable discussions, trainings and contribute to strategic exchanges, to major international conferences, on the most burning issues of our era's foreign and strategic challenges.
